We are looking for a forward thinking, positive, and high performing team player to join the Wind Service Training Center. Our Technical Trainer is responsible for conducting instructor led trainings (ILT) including classroom and hands-on education for our employees. The Trainer will teach multiple courses related to the wind turbine while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Technical knowledge and training experience of the following systems
- Mechanical: Mechanical safety, principles of bolt and welded connections, use of manual tightening and measuring tools, hydraulic torque and tension, gearbox, braking system, yaw system, cooling system, lubrication system
- Electrical: Electrical safety, components and symbols, sensors, electrical circuits, measuring instruments
- Hydraulic : Hydraulic safety, pumps, actuator, valves, accumulators, sensors, pipes, hoses and connections, oil and filters, hydraulic diagrams, pressure measuring tools
- Advanced presentation and communication skills
- Maintain tracking and storage of required training session documentation
- Self-motivated and directed
- Understanding of instructional methodology
- Understanding of Instructional System Design, 6 laws of learning, Kirkpatricks 4 levels of evaluation, Blooms Taxonomy, methods for measuring training effectiveness and ROI
- BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Reviews feedback, and modifies/revises course materials as instructed.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Technical or Adult Education degree
- Experience with Global Wind Organization (GWO) Basic Technical Training Standard
- Experience working in the Wind Energy or Power Generation industries
- Experience working on Siemens Gamesa Wind Turbines
- Strong understanding of instructional methodology
- Strong understanding of Instructional System Design, 6 laws of learning, Kirkpatricks 4 levels of evaluation, Blooms Taxonomy, methods for measuring training effectiveness and ROI
- Experience in curriculum development
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
