Reliability Medical Technologist: A med tech in reliability runs an instrument (analyzer) to simulate a customer environment. They test functions of the User Interface, troubleshoot hardware, software, calibrations and maintain QC results.
Description / Role: Be able to follow protocols Investigate failures/Identify where the failure originated/Detailed documentation of failures Identify/perform maintenance requirements Understand and write worklists General lab rules (safety, biohazard and waste management) Reagent inventory/Perform Calibration and QC Acquire log files/Read log files and Collect and research data Maintain instrument configuration control Assist in writing and reviewing reliability testing protocols and reports as required Train new reliability technologists when required Gathers and analyzes information skillfully and works well in group problem solving situations Pursues training and development opportunities and shares expertise with others Responds promptly to internal customer needs and meets commitments Asks for and offers help when needed/Able to follow guidelines Meets challenges with resourcefulness; generates suggestions for improving work. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to speak and write effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization Is consistently at work and on time; arrives at meetings and appointments on time
Skills needed: Quick to learn new instrumentation Be flexible in their daily operation Time management skills
Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Be able to kneel, bend, squat, stand for long periods of time Have a good knowledge of using SW Organizational skills Detail oriented/Self-Disciplined/Positive disposition Be able to have good working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
