Bachelor's degree (B.S./BEng/BSc) in Reliability, Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
Minimum of One (1) year of experience.
Description / Role:
This position is within the Reliability Engineering department with responsibility to design, build and integrate test stations for clinical diagnostic instrumentation. The candidate will work on a variety of Reliability Engineering projects as part of new product development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Actively work in an R&D laboratory with primary responsibility of designing, fabricating and maintaining instruments. The candidate will be responsible to Investigate failures and identify where the failure originated and record detailed documentation. The position requires experience with operation and testing of electro-mechanical systems. Must have component and system engineering aptitude (mechanical, electrical, software operator interactions). The candidate will troubleshoot complex systems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Skills: The candidate must have the ability to:
Work with system logs and effectively parse pertinent data.
Use basic hand tools and electrical equipment (screw drivers, hand drills, multimeter, etc.).
Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and write reports.
Effectively manage time, organize and prioritize work.
Multi-task across many assignments is necessary and a positive attitude.
Effectively present information and respond to questions from project teams.
The candidate should have a high-level of self-motivation and effectively work on a team. Familiarity with Agile methodology. Knowledge of LabView a plus. Apply advanced engineering mathematics. Knowledge of basic statistics and probability mathematics. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel - Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word - Word Processing software and intermediate Computer Programming skills, desired. Written and oral communication skills expected.
