Responsibilities

Coordinate the inbound and outbound logistics for both domestic and international shipments for Siemens business in New Kensington as well as specific project related materials.

Demonstrated expertise to process International documentation for export shipments, which may include, but not limited to commercial invoices, shippers export declaration, NAFTA certificate of origin, airway bills, Shipper's letter of instruction, hazardous materials documentation and standard country of origin. Coordinate equipment crating activities including required documents Select and engage the services of transportation suppliers based on most effective method within scope of Siemens transportation guidelines (Air, Ocean, Land )

Review customer contract and purchase orders to verify all required documents and information to fulfill customer transportation requirements.

Communicate, as required, the Logistics requirements and needs to internal and external customers (trucking,, Freight Forwarders, customers, export agencies) through oral and written methods.

Expedite, trace and obtain verification of shipment delivery, audits, inbound/outbound freight bills, files, carrier damage claims and update carrier contract information.

Prepare, as required, truck bills of lading, airway bills, UPS, FEDEX, DHL etc., internal/external memorandums, freight/crating cost quotes.

Collaborate with Shipping Supervisor with review of sales orders, distribution plans and freight cost estimates and related projects as needed.

Support all projects domestically/internationally, including freight quotes, coordinating movement of oversize freight, insurance documentation and corresponding documents.

Develop project specific Logistics or Load plans as required on project by project basis.

Execute daily reports and release orders, as required. Collaborate with Order controlling to assist in project equipment and spares order issues, billing issues as needed (i.e. order not initialized, unconfirmed lines, grouping etc.)

Work collaboratively with Project Management, Order Controlling and Shipping on Delivery Reliability (DR) to ensure we achieve business DR goal.

Track & resolve VAT recovery as required for all equipment orders out of Germany.

Work cross functionally with Sales and Project Management on Incoterm requirements and issues on projects.

Review and understand Export Administration Regulations.

Evaluate the commerce control list against components, finish equipment and sub-assemblies to determine appropriate ECCN for items. Conduct parts classification for export including HTS & ECCN determinations.

Support business needs relative to ECC and ECCN questions for various products.

Assist team in conducting cross-functional training on Logistical topics such as Export regulations, Incoterms etc....

Function as representative for SCM and Logistic team in oPLM projects.

Support "assist" review and determination for foreign source material. Ensure appropriate information is filed with US Government. Support and coordinate with Procurement and IMEX group regarding inbound international materials shipments related for New Kensington equipment (i.e. power cells, boards, motor modules, line modules etc.)

Expected to be process focused, develop and implement lean initiatives, continuous improvement focused to help streamline activities within P&OM team as it relates to Logistics activities.

Work collaboratively with the Shipping team to integrate new idea, process improvements to benefit the workflows between both teams.
