Position Overview - Technical Research Analyst

Person in this role will be responsible for the design and development of Business Intelligence and Tableau solutions for complex analysis in the Large Gas turbine Business. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing at a professional level and to distill complex technical data to all levels of management with conciseness, clarity, and accuracy.

Major Work activities


Creates and maintains Tableau dashboards by gathering business requirement and developing solutions that meets business needs. Grants and updates permissions to existing Tableau roles, communicates system downtime to user base and helps power users develop Tableau dashboards.


Collaborate with teammates to develop data models to suit business intelligence solutions. Experienced in aspects of data warehousing including data architecture, analysis and design. Designs and develops new SQL procedures, processes and reports ranging from simple to more complex to meet business needs.


Become proficient in the use of the Siemens large gas turbines Fleet management application. Expertise in the use of this application will enable the individual to better understand the business rules and facilitate the transfer of organizational knowledge from the business to the analyst.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline.

  • Self starter and possess proficient analytical skills.
  • Ability to present dashboards or analysis to large teams.
  • Expert in SQL, Tableau and Data warehousing 3+ Years of experience.
