Education and Experience:
Minimum of a Ph.D. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics or a closely related engineering discipline.
Minimum of 8 years experience in theoretical concepts and hands-on experiences in fluidics, hardware and electronic design.
Minimum of 1 year experience with integrated microfluidic device design and fabrication process.
Must have strong lab skills with the ability to perform and document detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
Experience solving problems in a multidisciplinary environment with engineers and scientists.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong experience with fluid dynamic simulation.
Experience with ANSYS finite element simulation, Solidworks, and MATLAB programming skills strongly preferred.
Assets Experience with microfluidics in medical device instruments
Knowledge of design concepts and testing techniques for plastic cartridges used for blood diagnostics is a plus. Programming skills in C, Python, LabVIEW and/or R is preferred
