Sr. IBM MQ/IB Admin Top Skills: * Administrator (not a developer) * Must be MQ Certified (IBM Certified) * 5 years experience IBM MQ is messaging middleware * 3 years experience in IBM Integration Bus (IIB) * 4 years experience Skilled in incident, problem and change management Seeking a Senior IBM MQ Messaging Administrator(IBM Certified Admin) who will support the integrity and governance of messaging based system/software solutions, including best practices for delivering services. Develop, deploy and support infrastructures, applications, software solutions and technology initiatives from an architectural and operational perspective in conjunction with existing standards and methods of delivery. Support technical escalation of L3/advanced issues for problem resolution. Apply deep knowledge of industry standards and vendor certifications. This resource will be primarily responsible for installing, supporting and maintaining servers or other computer systems, and planning for and responding to service outages and other problems. In addition, this resource will perform periodic scripting/programming of their particular system, throughout the life of the project. Duties include providing hands-on analysis of issues, issue reporting, and incident management. This position will require and be responsible for the management of, monitoring the performance, utilization of the various server resources, support the analysis as well as correction of all end-user computing and network problems that may be associated with server processing. The IBM MQ /IB Messaging Administrator is responsible for planning and designing Middleware Software, including installation and upgrades, structure, documentation, 24x7 operational support, process maintenance and security/data protection. Provide guidance in the development of infrastructure requirements with business, architecture group, and solution teams. Ensure the seamless integration and synchronization of business applications, security, and infrastructure technologies. Lead the introduction of new/incoming technology projects into production; manage integration management systems for system availability, administration, operational processes, vendor management, and best practices across the enterprise. Key duties include: * Provide consulting and technical support for all Middleware Team related activities * Reporting to leadership on Middleware Team activities. * The implementation of complex changes to the middleware and messaging infrastructure * Building and creating products and services * Supporting solutions that meets the requirements * Preparing documentation that explains the technical solution clearly * Maintaining or enhancing systems infrastructure components and services to ensure that infrastructure is in vendor supported and standards compliant state * Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success * Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments * Respond to incidents according to the government approved Incident Response Plan * Performs application deployments (Scripted/Batch/Ant based) to test, integration, and production environments per established change management procedures * Resolves connectivity issues and workflow problems * Provide 24x7x365 integration support for all Middleware components (including networking) and supported applications interfaces, including but not limited to MQ/Integration Bus support products (commercial-off-the-shelf and proprietary) Qualifications * 5 years experience IBM MQ is messaging middleware * 3 years experience in IBM Integration Bus (IIB) * 4 years experience Skilled in incident, problem and change management * 4 years experience in depth experience of working in a 2nd/3rd line IT support or project delivery environment * Experience and technical knowledge of web services, service-oriented architecture (SOA) * Working knowledge of SOMA, SOAP, REST/ROA interfaces * Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with excellent understanding of system development methodologies, techniques and tools * Defines and resolves problems related to widely different platforms, hardware, software, coding structures, communication protocols * Familiar with general security concepts (authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signatures), PKI concepts, and SSL DataPower troubleshooting, services instrumentation, monitoring and logging * Expertise with web applications, as well as client-server application architectures * Experience with performance testing/monitoring and tuning * Working knowledge of LDAP, Load Balancers, F5 * Strong experience on Linux environment.
