SENIOR JAVA/J2EE DEVELOPER Top 3-5 Daily Responsibilities: 1. Senior Java/J2EE developer performing a wide-range of back end development responsibilities, working with a variety of Agile and functional teams to create unique server-side capabilities for applications and services - to include REST APIs, Web Services, Microservices, and implement a sustainable framework around them. 2. See a dozen issues or tasks, but maintains ability to prioritize work and follow-through with making progress. 3. Work with management, front end engineers, designers, analysts and other teams to build modern applications and services, to include advising and implementing an architecture (solution and/or technical), workflows, dataflows (write them and follow them), Top 3-5 Required Skills: 1. 5+ years of Java/J2EE Full Stack Spring framework development experience 2. Strong experience developing REST APIs & Web Services 3. Strong experience Microservices 4. Strong experience with Spring (Boot and/or MVC) 5. Experience with unit testing and IDE skills 6. Agile 7. Docker, Kerberos or another DevOps technology 8. Kafka 9. Experience working with cloud service providers like Bluemix, CloudFoundry, AWS, OpenStack, etc. Desired Skills: 1. React/Redux / Angular 2. Bluemix 3. WebSphere 4. Test-driven development 5. CI/CD environment and technologies 6. Full-stack development experience 7. Modern full-cycle single page application experience (in Java) 8. Authored an NPM package 9. Experience working with NoSQL databases 10. Bonus points for other Server-side programming languages (Python, Perl, PHP, Ruby and JavaScript) 11. Bonus points for having an active GitHub portfolio to see past work and projects Soft Skills: 1.
