Position Description: Activities include coordinating the delivery of multiple projects, developing cost benefit analyses for the program, communicating to an executive committee, creating and reporting program status utilizing a dashboard, allocating resources across the multiple projects, defining project governance policies and managing the financial concerns of the program. Must be able to utilize and effectively communicate technical components of an initiative to applicable parties. Must be self motivated, well organized and have strong innovation and facilitation skills. Proven oral and written communication skills; excellent business presentation skills. Excellent analytical skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels and across organizational lines, including the business units. Ability to effectively utilize external vendors and resources throughout the organization. Demonstrated success at building team relationships and partnerships across organizational lines. Experience Level: 8+ years of experience required. Education: BA/BS Degree or 4 years of additional experience required. Contract or Contract to Hire (1 year) Preferred locations: (Remote on occasion - 20%) Pleasanton, CA Pasadena, CA Job Duties: 1) Manages large-scale projects from planning to completion. 2) Develops, analyzes, and manages moderately complex project plans which include schedule, and resource forecast. 3) Manages and monitors project financials for large projects. 4) Monitors overall project performance (e.g., on time, on budget, within scope and with quality) against plan and makes adjustments as needed. Proactively monitors project risks by identifying risks and trigger events. 5) Ensures adherence to established processes and policies (e.g. SDLC including domain standards, Kaiser standards). Monitors the compliance of project plans by ensuring team members follow policies and procedures. 6) Drives allocation of resources, establishes schedules, and task assignments to ensure proper project management practices are in place. 7) Provides insight to key stakeholders and project sponsors by developing project goals, setting the prioritization of deliverables, discussing involvement of business processes (e.g. project change management, communication) and facilitating decisions necessary for project delivery. Communicates tough issues to stakeholders and keeps an independent opinion. Required Skills: 1) Minimum five (5) years experience managing IT project(s) using project life cycle methodologies (e.g., SDLC, process management, organizational change). 2) Minimum two (2) years experience implementing large, complex projects in a corporate environment. 3) Minimum five (5) years experience managing project budgets. 4) Minimum of eight (8) years experience in various roles in IT. 5) Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project/program management certification.
