Performs a variety of clerical and technical support functions within Human Resources service Center. High-volume reception, phones and mail handling. Accept, process, screen and administer tests for incoming applicants. Knowledge of EEO laws and AA policies and union contract provisions. Process transactions within HRSC pertaining to new hires, benefits, pay, transfers, applicant referrals. Participates and assists with special projects/programs. Typing 40-50 wpm. Working knowledge of MS Office (Word & Excel spreadsheets). May extend, as this is covering leave but 3 months to start Top 3-5 Daily Responsibilities: 1. Handle on-boarding paperwork for new physicians according to the checklist 2. Prepare new hire packets, welcome bags, and set up conference room for orientations 3. Limited data entry for Podiatry payroll Top 3-5 Required Skills: 1. Must type 40 wpm (testing required with resume) 2. Working knowledge of Word and Excel to maintain source documents and checklists 3. Ability to file, scan, send email and make phone calls as needed Desired Skills: 1. Preferred background in HR benefits environment 2. Preferred knowledge in PeopleSoft software 3. Soft Skills: 1. Ability to multi-task is a busy environment 2. Ability to prioritize tasks 3. Great customer service skills 4. Ability to work in team environment 5. Excellent communication skills
