Position Overview:

This position will support the Gas Turbine Manufacturing Hot Gas Path Project Management group within the Gas Turbine Charlotte Operations organization. The Manufacturing Project Management group is responsible for developing and introducing new gas turbine combustion system products and manufacturing processes in the Charlotte gas turbine manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities: Tasks and responsibilities for this position include:

  • Working with manufacturing engineers to develop and update project schedules and milestones.
  • Creation of formal presentations from drafts, reports, charts, drawings, specifications.
  • Supporting manufacturing engineers and project managers to execute capital equipment plans and product and process qualifications.
  • Supporting manufacturing engineers in prototyping and product cost reduction projects.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

The job tasks and projects will require an above average proficiency and experience with PC-based software packages for word processing, presentation, database, spreadsheet, and chart applications. These may include but are not limited to MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, AutoCAD, NX, and Teamcenter.

The candidate should possess the ability to work independently with minimal direction and input from supervisors and managers. The candidate should also be comfortable with taking the initiative and gathering the required data and information to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining high standards for quality. The candidate should be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
