Title: Customs Classification Specialist Education Requirements: minimum high school diploma or GED Years of experience desired: 5-8 years direct experience, minimum Required skills and experiences: Licensed Customs Broker preferred

Direct experience determining US HTS (US Harmonized Tariff Schedule) classifications and filing customs import entries. Excellent knowledge of US Customs regulations, US Tariff database, General Rules of Interpretation and customs brokerage

This role requires strong personal attributes including: high ethical standards, strong organizational and communication skills, high attention to detail, self-motivated and a team player.

Must possess strong skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Develops, implements and enforces guidelines, solutions and plans in order to optimize processes in his/her area of responsibility. * Contributes to the implementation of ECC regulations and ensures accurate and consistent distribution of relevant information throughout the internal organization. * Collaborates with the authorities regarding export license applications and customs approvals and clarifies general legal issues. * Monitors and ensures corrective actions derived from external and internal reviews and audits. * Carries out trainings and reviews to guarantee adherence to ECC regulations. * Enables consulting for other organizational units as well as Best Practice Sharing.
