The Procurement Cost Analyst is a key member of the Turbo Compressor (TCP) Advanced and Standard Business Marketing & Sales teams that handles the operational duties regarding vendor costs within a manufacturing organization, with a focus on managing critical and complex suppliers to support business demand. This role will also support the development of cost estimating and market benchmark pricing tools for use internal to the cost group as well as in use of the Advanced and Standard Businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures
  • Initiate and manage Request for Quotes (RFQs), both self-directed and in support of internal customers and review for accuracy and completion
  • Contact suppliers to resolve price or delivery issues
  • Understand total cost of ownership; identify and pursue areas for cost savings, using resourceful, aggressive and thorough analysis
  • Update databases continually to assure accuracy of information is shared
  • Support TCP efforts to create and develop cost estimating tools and templates
  • Review marketing cost requests, interpret scope and build estimates using in-house templates
  • Develop and issue target costs for booked orders
  • Special assignments as needed

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience
  • Well versed understanding of Microsoft Office applications
  • Procurement / Supply Chain experience
  • Self-starter and motivated to find efficient and effective ways to accomplish end goals
  • Results-oriented with the ability to multitask and work under time constraints to meet deadlines

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Technical knowledge and understanding of procurement processes
  • Analytical, numerically astute with proven problem-solving abilities
  • Use analytical thinking to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions
  • Experience in the cost estimating field
