Position Overview: This Scientist 1 position is in the Mishawaka Assay Development R&D group, responsible for developing and maintaining in-vitro diagnostic Point-of-Care assays across multiple platforms.

The candidate will be responsible for the execution of studies to support these aims, involving (but not limited to) routine instrument maintenance, protocol execution, data management, and general laboratory functions. This role will be focused primarily in the execution of product stability studies.

This role has a dual focus, including both routine laboratory work (as described above) and the organization, modernization, and management of legacy and current product technical data.

The successful candidate will have a B.S. in Biology, Chemistry or related discipline, proven good documentation and laboratory skills. Prior knowledge and application of GMP/GLP is preferred. Candidates with strong writing skills are preferred.

Responsibilities: Operates, maintains, qualifies, and troubleshoots different analytical equipment. Executes protocols and studies to support a broad array of R&D initiatives. Assists in troubleshooting problems. Capable of writing of standard procedures, experimental protocols, and reports. Capable of organizing and summarizing large amounts of experimental data of many varieties

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: B.S. in biology, chemistry or related discipline. Knowledge of GMP/ISO is a plus. Proven good writing and laboratory skills. Demonstrated ability to interpret data and to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. The successful candidate will be proficient in time management, possess well developed interpersonal skills, demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, and exhibit attention to detail.
