The Technical Assistant position performs as support for the PERMA JIF Team, which consists of seven (7) claim representatives, the Assistant Supervisor and Unit Manager in the Workers Compensation, Liability and Property Department..

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Duties may include, but are not limited to, all or some of the following)

Entering new claims and suspense files; reopening files; deleting files; setting up physical files; scanning for duplicate claims.

Assist in the opening, stamping, indexing and distribution of incoming mail; input drafts and vouchers; photocopy and pay medical bills related to the claims.

Answer phones and take messages; provide customer service support to adjusters.

Knowledge of coding for specific account required; familiarity with all computer coding, including loss codes, cause codes and specific account site codes required.

Add claimants to existing files.

File files and paperwork; pull files; organize files for audits, printing comments.

Assist Adjuster with filing of state forms. Cover reception desk on a rotational basis Perform other duties as required
